2019 PROGRAM SCHEDULE

JUNE 29, 2019 STAY TUNED

2018 PROGRAM SCHEDULE

In celebration and recognition of North Florida’s Legacy Communities, the Juke Joint Jam Florida offers

  • The unique “vibe” of cultural experiences that once proliferated the region:  Great concert performances for all ages,  Premier DJ performances, Exhilarating dancing, Sumptuous food,  Snack delicacies, Oral History by the Elders, Kid Zone (Jumpers and Games), DJ Loose Kid’s Back Yard Party and more.
  •  A back yard party reminiscent of the family oriented aspects (“only”) of community-based Juke Joints and Shooting Matches/Turkey Shoots (shoot at targets to win a Turkey).  Shooting Matches are community events, designed for great social interaction accompanied by food, music, drum beating and dancing. These events occur annually and are hosted by the same family in their Legacy community; drawing family and friends from other Legacy Communities and visiting family and friends that have moved away.  Currently, there are only two families still hosting Shooting Matches. The Juke Joint Jam Florida WILL NOT include any type of guns, only the food, social interaction, drumming and dancing elements.
